  I need advice: About 2 years ago, my husband was avoiding being hit by a car and hit his head and had a major stroke the next day. For the following year we went to many doctors, neurologists, had tests done to see how the stroke happened. He has no pre-existing conditions that would cause him to get blood clots or have thickened blood, which could lead to a stroke. Anyway, the other party wants to settle but I have always heard that settling might not be good. As an aside, only medical coverage has been covered. They have not covered any lost wages or "pain and suffering" that the trauma and hassle has incurred so I don't see a benefit to settling at all. We have not gone to any accident lawyer for advice, but wondered if we should. I'm not sure if we will be forced to close the case if we don't respond somehow. Question: 1) If you are local, do you recommend and accident attorney? 2) Should we settle, if at all, and under what conditions? Any other tips or advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
