  NYC Hostel Anyone know of a decent hostel that is not too expensive in a good location within NYC. A friend and I are going for a visit in August and we've found cheap flights through jetblue.com but now are looking into cheap places to stay. I want a private room, not a dorm style, and I perfer a private bath, but if it has to be shared than okay. But I've been logging in some prices on hostel websites and for 2 people for 3 nights it comes up with like $500-600ish and for that price, I can stay at a decent hotel in Manhattan.   http://www.gershwinhotel.com/ is where I stayed several times. It is a very artsy place with frequent guests from all parts. Many Andy Warhol collectibles there also. I think the price is $36 a night. You can have up to four roommates or just you and another. Good Luck!
