  Morning all. Unfortunately I've been up half the night with a broken wisdom tooth. Even more unfortunate, I am lacking dental insurance. Also my credit is not the best to successfully apply for a loan or "dental credit card". Does anyone have any advice, tips or recommendations? It is absolutely excruciating but as a mother of two I have no choice but to keep going.

  Try calling the health department. A friend of mine recently had a similar situation. I'm pretty sure they pulled her tooth. If not, there is a clinic downtown Nashville that offered services on a sliding scale. Here is their website: http://www.interfaithdentalclinic.com/

  Matthew walker in Nashville has emergency services. Walk in clinic based on income. Also google the interfaith dental clinic. They have a based on income program as well but it’s a process. Meharry dental school has the same type of program but usually takes months to get in. M.W. is your best option for emergency services at a low cost

  http://www.interfaithdentalclinic.com/ My tooth pull was $85 and it's in the boro. If it's hurting really bad gargle Listerine and water with baking soda and salt. Don't stop until the pain stops. Listerine will kill the bacteria reducing inflammation and take pressure off the nerve. If smoking makes it worse stop.

  Help! I have a friend who is in a lot of pain and needs some help. He has several abscessed teeth and a few broken pieces of teeth stuck down into his gums. He has never been to a dentist in his 25 years of life. I tried to help and took him to a clinic and when they tried to pull a tooth it broke and we ended up in the emergency room. He does not have health insurance. Does anyone know where he could go to get help?

  My dentist said that there is a new free clinic through Cornerstone Church at 40 th and Charlotte north of the interstate. Meharry Dental can do wisdom teeth extractions by appointment, and they have an oral surgery clinic and a general dentistry clinic, their phone number is 615-327-6297. Their fees are usually reduced by 30% off the market price, and they accept people with insurance or without. There is also Interfaith Dental. A family member of mine who has no dental insurance, nor a regular dentist he visits annually, needs to have his bottom wisdom teeth removed asap, he can barely chew they are hurting him so bad, I'm guessing they're impacted.. I have no clue where to go or how too even start the process. So I came here ! I've heard it's around 1500 to get them done, which he can pay in full. So does anyone know a doctors office or oral surgeon I should go to ? Also does he need a refferal from a dentist first ? And before anyone says I did look online but I didn't find much.
