Just in case the patient needs Occupational Therapy there is a very good OT on Northern Blvd. just past PC Richards. There aren't many places that offer OT.

This guy is excellent. My lovely wife Madeleine had to have emergency open wrist surgery to correct two broken bones, this past July, and Dr. Ariel Tenny Goldman did a masterful job of repairing my wife's wrist and hands. We also located an excellent 'Physical Therapy Place' in Great Neck as well, with his assistance to get her back in the game. She's a writer, so typing is very important to her. Some of these doctors mentioned are orthopedic doctors not specifically in just hands. Dr. Alan Freedman on Norhern Blvd in Great Neck I believe specializes in Hand Surgery only. I went to him a few times and was very happy

Dr Andrew Greenberg Orthopedic associates of Manhasset 600 northern blvd Did surgery on my adult sons finger, 3 screws; almost 2 years ago. All has been good since. No issues. He has OT & PT therapy in their office but he sent me to another therapist in great Neck bc he want what was best for my son. Says a lot! Dr Tuckman is great too.

contact The Hospital for Special Surgery NYC.... They SPECIALIZE in this, also hip, knee replacments, etc. They are very well known. Had 2 hips & a knee done there. # 212-606-1000... that is general # They will give you names of Drs. who do ONLY hands... good luck ... btw JFK was flown there in 1956 for back surgery, when he was a Senator in Mass.

Dr. Stein in Great Neck. I suffered in excruciating pain for over a year. Could hardly use my right hand. He had me fixed in about a week! The surgery was exactly what he said it would be. Even asked if I had any other probs with that hand. Released the tendon in my wrist and fixed my trigger finger. Wish I had met him a year earlier. Can't even see the scars.

Angela, Dr. Stein told me my wrist and finger problems were similar. Both, tendons getting hung up. Once fixed will not recur. My finger took a little longer to heal. Took awhile to straighten it up completely but it is perfect now. It all happened exactly as he said. No more locking and no scar. Got a surgery appointment within days. Choose St. Francis Hospital. Much better than North Shore for ambulatory. I've been to both. Good luck!
