  I'm not sure where to go to ask this question, this being our first house. :D We have a gas starter fireplace with a chimney. I have no intention of using it, since the flue is broken and we just filled a 15 gallon trash bag more than two thirds full of ashes... To me, that means the chimney is probably FULL of creosote and needs to be cleaned. The question is, who do you go to to see about making it a fully gas fireplace with no wood burning ever again? We need a gas insert is my understanding. A nice glass one that should be more energy efficient for heating. Who do we go to for a quote that's local?
