I've been busy since last Thursday trying to figure out how the OKCPS Board of Education can issue denials for all Open Transfer students who had already been accepted into Classen School of Advanced Studies(CSAS). I've been researching transfer policies and have discovered that the board has ignored a portion of that transfer policy. According to their policy, students with applying for an Open Transfer to a specialty school (CSAS), and who have siblings already attending the school, are to be treated as if they were already an OKCPS student. This means that upon acceptance into the school, the transfer should be given, if transfer paperwork had been completed within the timeframe, a transfer should be given.
Christine was denied her transfer to CSAS because the OKCPS Board does not know their own policies!! If anyone knows a good attorney, please let me know. I plan on making sure that all of the policies followed
