About us
Melanie Albert, a licensed professional hairstylist with 12 years of experience in the hair industry. Melanie completed her apprenticeship at La Cité Collegiale in 1999 and took a series of advanced Master colorist classes with Matrix and Wella Professionals. Melanie’s skills continue to improve through international training with elite educators at the Sebastian Advanced Academy in Santa Monica Los Angeles and the Toni&Guy Advanced Academy in New York City with celebrity hairstylist Nick Arrojo from TLC’s hit television show “What Not to Wear”. In 2005, Melanie was awarded 1stplace in the Ottawa Suite Style competition which earned her trip to Las Vegas. Furthermore, Melanie also attained 3rd place in the “Cut and Color Competition” at Hairapolooza in 2006. Melanie is extremely eager to learn and progress in the hair industry and continuously taking new classes and keeping up with the latest techniques and hair trends as they currently appear on the fashion scene. She regularly styles hair for fitness competitors; fashion shows as well as for photo shoots and enjoys doing hairstyles for weddings and other special occasions. Melanie specializes in formal updo's and makeup for elegant occasions and is also a certified fusion hair extension specialist.
