Ugh it's time! I am embarrassed to be posting this at all. 10 years ago I had a very traumatic experience with a dental procedure. I have been unable to go to the dentist since. I have tried several times. I literally panic. I have gotten up and walked out in the middle of a cleaning. I know I need to take care of my teeth. I am in tears at even thinking of going to the dentist for a cleaning. I need an extremely patient dentist who isn't going to make me feel like a moron. Being told to relax and and just deal with it is not going to help me.

Www.sedationdentalgroup.ca There's no shame in dental anxiety. But you only have one set of adult teeth.
Root canal specialist in Ottawa - looking for recommendations for a nervous patient. My mom needs a root canal specialist, and she is TERRIFIED of dentists, so I'm hoping someone here has a recommendation for one who will put her at ease. Her regular dentist can't do the procedure she needs, so she'll be flying out to stay with me while her dental work gets taken care of (plus this way she doesn't need to fork out $$ for a hotel). Preferably inside the greenbelt as that's where I live, but I can make sure she gets out to Kanata if needed.
Does anyone have a recommendation for her? Thanks!
Edit: I found this lady online: https://www.ratemds.com/doctor-ratings/3437779/Dr-Lisane-Paquette-Ottawa-ON.html
Reviews are definitely good, and she's within walking distance of me. Anyone have any experience with her?
Edit2: will be going with Dr. Paquette. All my research on her and the recommendations here have convinced me. Thanks all!

I reallly like the Sedation Group on MacLaren....http://sedationdentalgroup.ca/ Kathy is my hygienist, but they are all super kind. You don't have to be sedated, they're just more sensitive to fears etc... xo
