Could someone help me please.
I just got a call from Consumer Affairs, Department of Justice which I lodged a complaint earlier today... fast work indeed.
In the matter of your Mini (vehicle) not being repaired since you dropped it off on 06FEB09 (4 years ago) and costing you $4684.50, there is nothing we can do to assist you.
You have always had at any time the right to remove the vehicle and take it to another mechanic and seek any loss through the legal system.
Being constantly told to come back in 3-6 months time does not breach any consumer laws and wouldn't stand up in a court.
Reasonable time to fix a vehicle is not a legal time frame and can't be taken into account by this department.
I would recommend you seek legal advice before undertaking any further activity in this matter.
Anyone know a good lawyer in the Hobart region?
