If she doesn't have maternity care yet... Pregnant women and families with newborns are encouraged to contact the Alberta Association of Midwives at admin@abmidwives.ca or (403) 450-7858 Several midwives across the province are able to provide primary maternity care, care during birth and immediate postpartum and checkups for moms and babies who have been evacuated. We can also help you connect with a physician or Healthy Beginnings as needed.
Iso...Where to go to get info on midwifes or Doulas ? Or does anyone have one they can recommend?
Also looking on opinions of births and is it better to have a baby in whitecourt or the city?
Thanks

LOVE LOVE LOVE birthing with a midwife!! Check out the Alberta Association of midwives website and apply to ALL of them like last week!! The waits lists are long and they can be hard to get into. For me it was worth the 2 hr drive to Edmonton to have a midwife
