  It is possible to install the air handler and condenser unit on your own and bring in a professional to complete the refrigerant line setup. DIY [mini splits](https://www.minisplitwarehouse.com/) come with the refrigerant line already charged and do not require a professional to charge them.

I have a friend who can do it for roughly $1800 but I wanted to check and see about potentially getting the GreenOn $600 credit. This means I need to go through an authorized contractor but I have no idea how to choose. Does anyone have any recommendations on HVAC companies in the area? Who has been good to work with? Quick?
