Source I. replied:You may not need a huge system. A small unit may very well be enough for you. How big your house is and whether you are cooling the entire thing or just a room or two. The vented systems are expensive and not particularly efficient if your house is not well insulated or your windows are old. The best advice I can offer is have an expert come and take a look at your house and your cooling needs and give you some options. I have some small wall units that are awesome and inexpensive with remote controls and multiple timing options so your space stays cool at optimum levels.
