  Looking for some suggestions of things to do and places to stay in Canberra My partner and I are headed to Canberra for 2-3 nights in April for our anniversary. I'd love to book a hotel with a spa in the room- can anyone recommend any for under $300 a night? Also, any suggestions for dinner places and things to do would be great! We're big fans of German food if there are any places around. We've done Questacon and parliament house and the museum before. Maybe more things like a quirky cinema or book store? Thank you!

  Can't help with hotels because, well, I've never stayed in a Canberra hotel for somewhat obvious reasons. I've heard excellent things about [Hotel Hotel](http://www.hotel-hotel.com.au/), but no idea whether they have a spa in any of the rooms. As far as German food goes, there's [the restaurant at the German club](http://harmonieclub.com.au/knuckles-restaurant.aspx). If you have an out-of-state ID you can enter without being a member or a member's guest.
