Any electricians that you would recommend? We want to talk to someone about hooking up a generator :-)

http://ddelectrical.com/ They're based in Port Hadlock, but their service area extends out to King County. When I had mine installed 5 years ago, installation was ~$2500-3000, and the generator itself (14 kw Generac dual-fuel, hooked to NG) was around $3000. You won't find much better pricing unless you do it yourself (hope you're a licensed electrician and plumber, if you want to DIY), but you can certainly find much worse deals. As You Wish Electric (a sister company of Greenwood Heating) quoted a ridiculous ~$16,000 for installation of the same thing.
Any recommendations or experience with contractors who can install a stationary generator? Thanks!

I used Double D Electrical out of Port Hadlock http://ddelectrical.com/. They do service on this side of the water, but it takes some time to schedule them to come out since they try to batch several service visits into one day. That said, maintenance of the generator is something you can do yourself (oil change, air filter) and so you'd only need them for installation and for major repairs (I had a coil delaminate and need replacement, covered under warranty but it took DD a month to do because of scheduling). Still, I liked their work and prices and can deal with scheduling.
