My child is a very heavy snorer and seems to be breathing through his mouth, rather than nose, all through his sleep. He looks tired most day, even after he has had a whole night’s sleep. He is slightly deficient in iron and vitamin D and I am on top of that with supplements and a good, varied diet. He is otherwise healthy and happy. My current GP has dismissed this every time I bring this up, saying he will outgrow it. GP thinks he could have enlarged adenoids/tonsils but is not concerned because he is otherwise healthy and doesn’t have that may infections a year to warrant a referral for further investigation. I am after feedback if any of you has had similar experiences with your kids. I am also after recommendations for a new GP who is not dismissive of your concerns and is good with kids. Northside would be great but happy to travel for the right GP. Thank you.
