About us
After creating essentials packs for people on the streets for the past two years in Birmingham following food and clothing donations from The Dream Street's Miss United Kingdom Beauty Pageant it was decided it's time to set up a non-profit organisation to share The Red Bag Co. with the rest of the world.
The Red Bag Co. provides a bag of essentials to people on the street's which includes a hat, gloves, sleeping bag or blanket, rice pudding, a tooth brush, tooth paste and moisturiser, soup or other tinned foods.
Along with providing a Red Bag we can also offer conversation and support which is all that many people need.
We hope as time goes on The Red Bag Co will be able to operate on a weekly basis and change the lives of the people in our community who are suffering.
The Name 'The Red Bag Co' was formed shortly after Christmas 2014 when we distributed 36 Rucksacks to people on the street's of Birmingham over the winter period. Following the snow and poor weather conditions we decided to go out again in January with Birmingham Homeless Outreach to distribute another 20 remaining rucksacks. As we were coming to the end of our walk we seen a man extremely cold and sitting outside new street station with no blanket or food just a hat waiting for donations from the public, As we approached the man with a Red Bag he looked happy to see us like no words can explain, He said; 'God Bless You, I remember the Red Bag from Christmas' and that's when The Red Bag Co was formed and we realised the impact distributing essentials to people on the street's had.
