Are there any landscaping stone/rock supply places [similar to picture below] around the Georgetown area that anyone recommends??
I'm hoping to find better prices than Home Depot!

Needing some suggestions...
Murchison Elementary is working on a gratitude project for the student body. They are going to need 800-1000 river rocks (2 - 3 in).
Any suggestions on local landscaping places that might work out a deal with me?
Thank you.

My first thought is Whittelsey's on the I35 frontage road. (512) 989-7625, but maybe try Gaddy's on 685 near HEB (512) 251-4428 or Greeen and Growing on Pecan across from Timmerman Elem 512.251.3262. They are both locally owned Pflugerville small businesses. Actually Whittelsey's is a small locally owned Round Rock business -- good to support our neighbors too.
Anyone know where we can find straw or hay bales, tightly bundled, to plant vegetables in? We have an erosion issue at our school garden, and I wanted to put the bales in place to slow water of roof of school. Thanks for any help!

You're looking for a granite gravel, and it is a good candidate for a donation. http://www.989 rock.com/products/gravels/granite-gravel.html
Sod in Austin? This summer heat and lack of rain has destroyed our new (seeded in the spring) bermudagrass lawn, to the point where it won't return when it cools down. We're going to go the sod route this time, probably in another month or so, and decided on a variety of St. Augustine, likely Palmetto. It seems there are a few places in the Austin area (preferably south), but all the places have either neutral or strongly negative reviews. We're borrowing a truck, only need one pallet and would like to stay under $160 (we're laying it ourselves), but we don't want to waste our time and money for a pallet of sod with thin spot and holes (WTF who does that!). Does anyone have a recommendation for an inexpensive sod dealer in south Austin or a horror story about a place to avoid?
Fill Dirt and Sod in Georgetown TX. I have the laborer in place just need suggestions of who to use to get the material delivered.
