  It appears our current fireplace which has propane logs was once a wood burning fireplace. Can anyone recommend someone who could check this and return it to woodburning.   Check nficertified.org for a pellet specialist. Most manufacturers specify in yheir manuals their units should serviced by serviced by an NFI Certified pro. (I have this certification but do not service pellet stoves at this time).

  Most gas log units/fireplaces on the market today recommend in their manuals that their units be installed by NFI Certified Gas Specialists. Check nficertified.org for a gas specialist. I am one, but this is not a service that I do at this time.
