  Veterinarian recommendation on Upper East Side Hi there! Hoping some fellow Manhattanites can help with a veterinarian recommendation. We are bringing home a new puppy and are looking for someone to bring him to for his first exams and vaccinations. Obviously looking for great care, but would also like to find somone who isn't looking to clean out our wallets or up-sell us on what should be a basic vet visit. We'd be willing to try other neighborhoods close by if there is a vet you really love. Thanks for all your help!

  Worth the trip is Dr Pet Daddy in Astoria (not far from you but you have to cross a bridge!!). We've been going to them for months after adapting a puppy from a shady shelter. Extremely friendly, take all our 'nervous parenting' questions very seriously. Warm environment - and very, nice clean facility! Never been happier, and I'm someone who hates the health system in all its forms! http://www.drpetdaddy.com/
