  Just prior to 9/11 we stayed at the Arena Hotel. arenahotel.com It is charming, Turkish and very friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much. It is a 5 minute walk from The Hippodrome/Blue Mosque and St. Sophia. They picked us up at the airport. It is not super deluxe, but I highly recommend it; other couples that have tried it enjoyed the experience very much also. Check it out! Roger.
