UK based electrician wanting to move to Canada- Looking for advice. I am wondering what my prospects would be in working a contract in Canada. I am an NVQ Level 3 qualified electrician, 24 years old, with almost 7 years of experience working on new housing developments.
Do any Brits on here have any experience working in Canada? Or does anybody know a good place to contact for information?

Need some help! Had a friend of a friend who was an electrician quote me $100 cash to install this plug so that I can use my under cabinet lighting. He had to back out last minute because of a family emergency. Wondering if there are any local electricians in the area that are available sat, sun or early monday morning in a pinch... I have the wire and parts... thanks in advance!

$100 is a rip off unless it comes with a ESA certificate >> http://www.esasafe.com/

esasafe.com in the consumer section will help find a licenced regestered contractor in the gananoque area. That does pay his masters, college of trades and contractors registration. Make sure you hire a liceneced contractor with ESA if he's not registered he's not licenced
Hey guys. Question. Anyone in Toronto have a lead on a recommendable electrician?
Also, any recommendations on more boring questions?
But seriously, lamps keep exploding over here.

I was told that electricians like to work close to home and to check out www.esasafe.com to find reputable ones. I got the one I used recently from this list and he was great.
Anyone have a recommendation for a reasonably priced electrician to upgrade my home panel to 200A service?
Vicky K. replied:
You have to make sure he is a licensed electrical contractor - not just a licensed electrician or he's not legally allowed to work on your electrical. If you go on the website www.esasafe.com you can find out who has an electrical contractor license, call a few of them & get a few quotes. If you have any questions, call me, I kind of know a bit about this...lol!

Just make sure the Electrician is Licensed with the ESA www.esasafe.com , and that you get a copy of the Certificate of Inspection
