  Friendly Jazz Bars? Hey everybody! I'm fairly new to the city, (coming from Miami) and I was wondering, are there any good jazz bars for a jazz pianist such as myself? Preferably one that isn't too chaotic? ​ Edit: I want to thank everybody for the recommendations and places!

  They don't exist here. Vieux Carre in St Paul was the closest, but they closed a couple years ago. A few "almosts" that are worth checking into- [Jazz Central Studios](https://www.jazzcentralstudios.org/) - definitely not a bar, but an OK basement venue. [Icehouse](https://www.icehousempls.com/) used to do a Sunday Jazz Brunch and [Monday Night Jazz](https://www.icehousempls.com/mondayjazz). Unclear whether those will resume after COVID. [Clown Lounge](https://twitter.com/clownlounge) in the basement of Turf Club occasionally did pretty relaxed Jazz shows. Edit: Also, [Amsterdam](https://www.amsterdambarandhall.com/events-new/) in St Paul occasionally will do local acts.
