  HYDRAULICS Hi all. Does anyone know about hydraulic motors? I have one that raises and lowers the dining table to turn it into a bed, but the motor has started making weird noises and stopped pumping hydraulic fluid. I've taken it out as you can see but can't see anything obviously wrong. I suspect there is dirt in the system, which I know will stop a hydraulic system working properly. Should I open it up or take it to a specialist? Is there someone in London that could fix it? Many thanks y'all

  And the diesel leak saga goes on... So I just noticed that I still got a diesel leak which I think comes from the nut or thread (as seen at the top left of the picture). I tightened it more and it felt loose but as I did it it leaked even more (running down the yellow pipe into my hull). I did turn the tap from the tank off to stop an other disaster. - is it one of this bolt that is better off less tight than more? (I have the feeling that the thread or nut might have worn off) - how could that be fixed temporarily ? (Ex: thread and/or joining compound type stuffs for diesel pipes, New bolt,...) I have been blacking in Enfield and am due to get back in the water on Monday morning. - what is the name of that pipe bits and where can I find it in case I have to replace it. - Anyone around who could have a quick look and help/advice me.   That set-up is prone to leaks. it would be improved by not having to connect by a nut onto the banjo, it is an unnecessary threaded joint. The banjo eye should have a single tail as one piece and the fuel hose should be secured to it. It then leaves the through bolt as the only threaded connection. The hose should also be secured to the engine bed by plastic ties to reduce vibration on the banjo fitting. Pirtek www.pirtek.co.uk/ should be able to make the proper banjo fitting to a SAE J 1527 or ISO 7840 fuel hose which does not have to be armoured. They have lots of outlets.
