  Hi David Bradley, I think the problem is that "tradesmen" like professional carpenters and joiners are busy making bespoke items for clients...like wardrobes, kitchens, storage boxes etc...which take time and are more profitable than your shelf, they are usually on a long lead time if they are any good... Sorry to say, but it would seem it's more a DIY type job... if you buy some prepared (that's smooth) 2 x1 you could probably cut it and slip it into place. I'd be happy to take a look but I think you'll find I'll be far too expensive for such a small job... www.martinheydonjoinery.co.uk
