  He needs antibiotics. That will help the pain for now until you can get extractions. Call Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry. You can do their walk in extraction clinic but I would suggest getting an appointment with Grad Oral Surgery. It is time consuming but very budget friendly. I am a dentist and have referred patients to my Baylor (my alma mater) for cases like this. They'll take good care of your son in law.
