  http://www.pentewansands.com/ Stuff to keep the kids entertained if the weather isn't great. Good food in the Seahorse. Right on the beach and only about 2-3 miles from St Austell or Mevagissy. I'm sure David McCann will have a few suggestions too. Or http://www.heliganwoods.co.uk/
