About us
Here in Sonora, we are blessed with some wonderful dental specialists, highly trained and with years of experience.
Dr. Steven Baker graduated from Loma Linda University Dental School in 1976 and came straight to Sonora, California, where he started his practice on July 1, 1977. He has received special training in the field of forensic odontology and helped provide those services to Tuolumne County for many years. He and his wife have 2 sons and 5 grandchildren. Dr. Baker has been to Peru and Mexico, volunteering to help provide dental care for those less fortunate. He feels blessed to work in the beautiful county of Tuolumne, California, with an amazing staff that takes such good care of him and their patients. Dr. Baker loves being a dentist, for he feels that it truly is a joy to serve others.
We would also like to announce the addition of Dr Robyn Shields. She will be working one day a week in our office and brings 20 years experience to our practice.
For procedures like wisdom teeth extractions, implant placement surgery (Dr. Baker restores the implants), molar root canals, advanced periodontal care, and orthodontics, we have an amazing team of providers very close by, whom we have the highest level of trust and confidence in. Dr. Baker knows them all personally and works closely with them for the best possible outcomes.
