  I spent over $400 to have a couple pairs of prescription WileyX (one polarized and one clear) from www.sportrx.com. They were great. They didn’t look goofy. No one could tell the difference. I ended up throwing the lenses out after getting PRK. SportRX is good, but skip that step and just get corrective surgery.

  Not sure about the insurance part, but I've used Rudy Project for perscription riding glasses the last decade with great results. I've done most of my prescriptions through SportRX.

  [SportRX](https://www.sportrx.com). You set up an account which contains all your prescription information. You then pick your frames and they'll ship you the sunglasses with your prescription lenses. I got my pair of Smith Optics Pivlock Overdrive cycling sunglasses from them.

  For lenses and frames i am big oakley fan. They are expensive expect to pay around 500 for prescription polycarb transitions from them. I got mine online from sportrx.com For doctor i can highly recommend dr clark http://www.eyeops.com/about/our-doctors
