Does anyone know of a local place that can convert old 8mm video camera tape footage onto a dvd and possibly even help edit a movie out of a bunch of old tapes? TIA!

I used a guy named Bruce Mayfield to do my film to video conversions several years ago. A lot of our film was badly damaged, and he did a wonderful job restoring and preserving it. He put the movies on digital tape first, then transferred it to DVD's for me. Wherever you decide to do this, I urge you to not put it off. I learned the hard way that film can be very fragile. We had a lot of it break apart, and Bruce had to patch it back together before doing the transfer. Also, if any of your film gives off a vinegar smell, it's gone or about to go. Here is the website for the guy I used: https://www.film-to-video.com/
