Kortney's the name and baking's the game... haha just kidding. So, NEVER in a million years did I see myself baking for a living and loving it! I am the youngest of four... always expected to bring the paper towels or drinks for our Sunday dinners or cookouts. My niece and nephew needed last minute Halloween cupcakes for school and I volunteered. I followed the box, decorated the tops with piping gel and watched the kids light up the next morning. After that, their teachers were volunteering them for every holiday. Then I became our family's permanent birthday and holiday baker. My one and only son was turning 5 and he wanted a cool race track cake... he was so amazed and even though I was not proud of it (at all) it was my 1st real PUSH into the custom cake world! I began taking cake classes, learning all kinds of techniques and going tutorial crazy for any minor celebration I could find. It has become my true passion in this lifetime. Watching someone light up with joy for something my two hands created is a feeling I strive for in each and every order I take on. That is exactly why Edible Thoughts Bakery exists!
