The interior is fine and in great shape. The outside will need minor body work except the tailgate might need replacing of the dent will not come out entirely. I also need a recommendation on the route to take for the motor, possible rebuild, maybe a new motor. Im in Cali so smog requirements apply, so i plan on keeping the powerplant stock, and reliable and smog compliant, unless someone has any good suggestions on the motor.

  Any recs for a good Land Cruiser shop or mechanic in North Orange County, or anywhere in OC/LA/SD? I've been to Yotamasters, and they are great, but a bit of a long drive there, and Eric seems to do a lot of 4Runners, and 40 & 60 manual trannys. In particular, I'm looking ahead (hopefully WAAAAY ahead) to a day when I might need to swap out my engine and transmission.. either for replacement 3FE or maybe even a V8 transplant. Anyone do those jobs around here? It's way above my skill and pay grade! Something like what Torfab does up in Washington. Ideally, of course, I love my stock '90 FJ60, but I can tell already the engine seems a bit tired or underpowered for the weight of the vehicle. Going on only 275K miles.. but the outside is still decent, clean, and stock. Not wanting to frankenstein it into a hotrod, but this TorFab conversion looks pretty sweet!.....
