I want to brew up a recipe from the Classic Beer Style Belgian Ale book, and it calls for adding bog myrtle. I have no idea where to find that. Does anyone know of any sources for bog myrtle (or the other ingredients for gruit)?

Try getting in contact with wildweeds.com. They may have some suggestion. From what I have googled looks hard to get in the USA when gathering in the wild. Maybe substitute for some common herbs which are easier to find? if looking for wild then it would be found in marshland or wetland areas near beavers as they love it or acidic peat bogs, make sure your taking the correct plant though as failure to can be deadly.
I have not been a very active brewer lately, and suddenly I need to teach a class on Gruits next Sunday. Does anybody know where I can order and have shipped: bog myrtle: Myrica Gale buck bean:...
One place that may have it is http://www.wildweeds.com/ I don't have my list handy but some of the larger online brewing supply stores may have it available under adjuncts or spices. As to gruit ales, I'd love to hear more about brewing with these. I've been wanting to try some period ales but just haven't had a chance to do so. I'd like to hear from anyone who's done ales with gruit vrs hops. Wassail,
