Hey guys, anyone have experience with clothing repair in central London? Broke my all time favorite trousers and they don't make them anymore. So, will have to have new ones tailored based on the old broken pair. Anyone got any good tailors/clothing repair shops to recommend? They're not suit trousers,(so doesn't need to be a "suit tailor") just really chill chinos I hope I could wear once again.
P.s. preferred area around SE1

https://www.alterationsboutique.co.uk/ this guy is a hoot. if you post a negative review on his google page he will call you personally and go into a rant about his high rent costs, customer satisfaction, high quality materials etc. (i complained about a 50 quid zipper repair charge). worth a shot if you fancy a laugh and dont mind the travel. if you play your cards right you will get the pants repair refunded afterwards.
Does anyone know of a reasonably priced tailor? I've inherited a pair of braces from my Grandfather which used to fit me really well but are now a bit short, can you think of anywhere that isn't Saville Row where I could get them lengthened?

Have you done a search here in /r/london? The topic comes up fairly frequently. In fact I just searched the archives myself as I need some things done, and I picked this one from the [recommendations](http://www.reddit.com/r/london/comments/16 yhn7/looking_for_a_good_tailorsuit_alteration/c80 tpwx): http://www.alterationsboutique.co.uk/. Might work for you too.
Looking for a good tailor/suit alteration... I have a really nice, unworn vintage 70s suit I picked up ages ago. Only problem is, the trousers are massive flares... The jacket however, looks like it was made for me.
Anyone know of a good place to get a suit altered? Please no suggestions of Saville Row, that's way out of my price range. Although I'm not looking to do this cheap. I'd rather pay a bit extra to get a good job, and a suit that will last me.
EDIT: I ended up going with the Alterations Boutique as recommended by sionnarch below. Great service - patient, helpful advice and really pleased with the results!

The [Alterations Boutique](http://www.alterationsboutique.co.uk) in Marylebone are excellent, but pricey enough.
