  Hello Vegan Friends! I was wondering if anyone know of any good health providers who are knowledgeable and supportive of the vegan lifestyle? I recently had my annual check up to establish care with a provider and its not going so well. This doctor is suggesting that I may have celiac disease based on some lower than average iron and vit D levels in my blood. She says my Vit B12 is also low but its actually well within the normal range. This doctor is not taking into consideration most plausable factors and trying to stick me wth a diagnosis that doesnt make sense in my mind. Any suggestions on what I can do to bring up my iron and Vit D levels would also be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

  This question has come up recently, so you might do a search in the group. The only vegan doctor I know of is in the U District. I've not seen him as a patient but have met him (and his two partners, who are also veg-friendly though not vegan) in a professional context.   Chris Kozura is a vegan doctor near U-Village (I think he told me he's been vegan for 20-30 years). And his two medical partners (one is his wife) are not vegan but supportive :).
