  Help!! Looking for a honest mechanic!!!!My 2008 Nissan Altima service engine light went on. I took it to auto store to have my engine scanned. It came up codes for transmission and Cadillac ( sp) converter. I had no signs of transmission issues while driving. However, I did notice today some transmission fluid on my garage floor. I went to local mechanic and he is telling me his reader is saying I have to get a rebuilt or new transmission. I am hoping someone can recommend an honest mechanic knowledgeable with converters and transmissions. Help? I am having a hard time believing I need a new transmission. So appreciate any help!

  Just had a terrible experience at St Charles Dodge Jeep, service department. They are rip off artists! They claimed my daughter signed the agreement to pay $105 for diagnostic testing, nope not her signature - the tech signed her name! All we asked for was an estimate, they never touched her car. We decided to have the work done elsewhere for 1/2 the cost. That is when they asked for $105, for what? We refused to pay for something they didn't do, gave us her keys and we left. Never again will I recommend this dealership to anyone! Terrible.
