My cabin (7 miles from town, near Toccoa Riverside Restaurant) has electric heating, a gas range and a wood-burning fireplace. Anybody here have a Generac or other recommendations? Thanks.Amy P. replied:This is our first winter here as full-timers as well and we are having a Kohler generator installed in the next week or so as well as going up to a larger propane tank. Since we had power outages even this summer on clear sunny days for up to 6 hours I assume it will only be worse in icy weather. It's expensive, but I believe worth the investment. I recommend a group called Canter Power Systems. They have been top notch so far. Clint Stringer was our Sales representative and he was great and highly professional. The number is 888-372-3278.
