  There's a band here in Dayton OH called Puzzle of Light. http://www.puzzleoflight.com/ Absolutely dedicated to playing only acoustic instruments. The percussionist, Bob Thompson, is an avatar on his kit (not a standard trap set, mostly congas, cymbals and noisemakers). Band leader Michael Bashaw plays flute, harmonica, and lots of percussion as well, including a bunch of "sound sculptures" that he's built in his other gig as a visual artist. They have several compact disks available, including one that they created and recorded as artists-in-residence at Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater three years ago. And no, I'm not their manager, just a fan LOL. T
