About us
My name is Jayme and I am the photographer at Jayme Shannon Photographer.
I am not your typical newborn photographer. I did not develop a love for photography by snapping pictures of my own kids. In fact, I do not have any kids. I grew up obsessed with Anne Geddes, the 'original' newborn photographer. From an early age, I was drawn to her work and inspired by the art she created. Instead of Backstreet Boys Calendars, I wanted Anne Geddes. Weird, I know!
I do have a fur-baby though. Her name is Roxy and she is a chocolate tan long haired dachshund. Don't worry! I keep her out of site during your session. If I didn't, she would insist on curling up with your little one while they are posed in a basket. She's a real momma.
Photography became a part of my life when my family started to grow. I loved to photograph the newborns coming into the family and soon I was being asked by friends and family to photograph their kids and family.
My main love is newborn photography. There is nothing more special than capturing the first moments we have with the new little ones.
