Place to have repairs done? Hello all! I recently got into photography (very beginner) and my dad gifted me my grandfathers Pentax K1000. Its also mostly a sentimental gift as it... kind of works? Something is wrong with it as it will take a photo but then get stuck. It was kept in storage for decades and so it is definitely in need of repairs if I wanted to use it for anything other than display, and I’d likely need new lenses, as only one seems to still be in pristine condition. But I thought it would be wonderful if I had it repaired. I think it would mean a lot to my dad, and also to me. The only issue is I can’t for the life of me find anywhere that can repair cameras like this. I’m fine with shipping it somewhere. If anyone has any suggestions where I could send her off to, please let me know. Likewise, if it’s possible to salvage the lenses I’d love to hear your advice on that as well. Most of them look foggy with some minor scratches.
Thank you in advance!

Another good resource is [garryscamera.com](https://garryscamera.com) \- he's reasonable and quick and straightened out my Spotmatic with mirror lock-up issues. Cameras that sit for years don't just break spontaneously, obviously they don't incur wear, but seals "rot" and rubber may degrade, and most commonly the lubricants dry out and become gum. Seals are cheap and easy to replace and lubricants are clean up with a simple "cla" (clean, lubricate and adjust). Rarely the rubberized-fabric shutter curtain degrades. I'm sure it can be replaced but don't have any knowledge of such instances.
Looking for an Analog Camera Repair Store in the Orange County, California area Hi! I'm looking for a camera repair place in the Orange County area or close to it. Right now I have been taking my things to a place in Anaheim Called "Camera Tech of Anaheim". It's run by an older gentleman named Mike. Although I like Mike a lot, I feel like I have been let down by his work multiple times. His prices are low, but his work is what I would call sub-par. If anyone has any recommendations for brick and mortar shops (Preferred) or online places to ship to, that would be greatly appreciated. My current kit consists of a Nikon FE/FM and a Mamiya RB67 Pro-S if that helps at all.
Thanks so much,
Kai

For the Nikon FE/FM I would **strongly** recommend shipping it to Garry's Camera Repair. They have done fantastic work with my Canon AE-1P and Minolta X-700. They charge a flat rate of $50 for a full CLA and they have a turnaround time of like a week or two. http://www.garryscamera.com/
Need help finding a place to repair an old camera! I have a Minolta 35mm camera that I would love to get repaired, but I'm not sure where to go to get it done. Anybody know of a good place to go for this kind of thing? Anywhere in Sac is okay.
Thanks in advance!

http://www.garryscamera.com I uncovered my parent’s 40 year old Canon AE-1 35 mm film camera, and after searching around online I found this guy Garry. I think he is just a retired dude that loves to work on old cameras. He does a complete overhaul and repair for a flat rate. Can’t really beat $53 to have your camera fixed no matter the issue, and returned to you quickly. He was fast to reply to emails, got my camera back to me in less than a week, and listed everything he fixed on it.
This morning I received my SRT-102 in the mail from Garry's Camera Repair. The camera looks great and works perfectly. Garry had repaired the film counter, repaired the advance mechanism, performed a...
