ok i need some help! we moved to Northglenn a few years ago, and i have yet to find a truly good tamale up here, or anywhere for that matter. i had a friend when i was growing up, whose mom made the best tamale's, but i have lost touch with them. since i don't live in Denver anymore, i don't find the random ladies selling them all over anymore. i mean really, what is Christmas season without 5 dozen tamales?
so here is the question, where are the best Tamale's that i can buy by the dozen, or even if you know a person who sells them by the dozen, or you yourself sell.
i have eaten Tamale Kitchen, Mercedes Restaurant, La Casita, and various other restaurant ones (all up and down federal and broadway). so far the best i can find around that isn't sold by a lady knocking on my door, or a neighbor, is La Casita, and those aren't good enough.
p.s. i am not looking for those thin mostly masa tamale's (tamale kitchen), or the ones that have too much sauce on the inside so they get soggy (Mercedes Restaurant). i want a perfect balance of meat to masa, and a nice addition of sauce inside.
