  Pet Sitter (cats) - Med Center Hi all, I moved to Texas about a year ago and will be out of town for two weeks beginning 8/1/20. I live in the Medical Center at an apartment complex, and have 3 cats. I’m looking for someone to come in and replace food and water daily, and also clean litter a couple times (I have a self-cleaning box and a regular box). Any suggestions? I’m extremely protective of my cats so I’m looking for someone very reputable. I also have in-house cameras to make sure nothing weird is happening and that they actually show up.

  Dog walking recommendations Hello, would anyone have recommendations for a dog walker in the U street area that would be good for a solo walk for a senior dog? Preferably with reasonable rates.

  Check out petsit.com/locate for all of your local professionals in the area. Cheap rates usually indicate inexperience and unreliable (as in pet sitting/dog walking isn’t their main gig and they won’t be available for the long term). You’ll want a company with an insurance and bond policy to cover you in case of negligence to your home or pet. Rover and Wag have insurance but will make you pay a deductible first and then will try their absolute hardest to not pay out anything to you.

  You should consider hiring a local Pet Sitter to come to your house. The dogs are always more comfortable in their own home and their own surroundings. A good Pet Sitter will come 2-3 times a day to feed them, let them out, and spend time with them. They'll keep the schedule they're accustomed to and get personalized attention.
