Although this isn't in CC, many people from this area shop there. I've been working at City People's Garden Store for 18 years, as long as I've been a resident here in CC- I buy their annuals and herbs, and it is truly a special place to visit and an amazing place to have worked. Developers are moving in, the land owners are ready to sell, and City People's Garden Store is looking to close, possibly permanently (wait, don't cry yet, read below for why your tears can be turned to action!). Read the attachment for full details about the sale as well as FAQ section.
All that being said, aside from the tremendous sadness we feel at the loss of the nurturing, independent nursery, there are a few of us employees now meeting to continue the legacy of City Peeps down here in the south end, particularly CC area. We are in the beginning discussions of this process, with much work ahead of us. I truly believe that a nursery would thrive in our community.

What do we need? Space. Property, in a nutshell. Soooo, I'm asking our community to give me some names and contacts of commercial real estate agents, community planning organizations, local developers- contacts that could help us in this journey to bring a natural, organic, nurturing nursery like City Peeps, to our community in CC, HC, Seward Park, Mt Baker.
Thank you!
