About us
In 2002, I was a full time realtor with a passion for making cakes. Little did I know that my passion would change my life.
I would practice making cakes in my spare time and would bring them to the office for everyone to eat. People started asking me to make cakes for their parties and soon thereafter, Karolyn's Kakes, LLC was born! As my cakes have grown in popularity, I have been able to turn my passion into a thriving full-time business.
I've refined my craft by attending professional demonstrations and seminars throughout the country to keep up with the current cake decorating trends.
I absolutely love creating one-of-a-kind KAKES that taste as good as they look. I look forward to working with you to create an extraordinary centerpiece for your special event!
If you want a KAKE for your event, the best way to reach me is to send me an email, my email address is KarolynsKakes@comcast.net. Or you can send me a message on this Facebook page. Please let me know the EXACT date (not just the month!), theme, and # of people the kake will have to feed. During the week my time is spent working on my kakes, so I will try to answer messages and emails in a timely manner. I do return emails on the weekends if I can't get to them during the week.
Generally my cakes are between $5.00 - $15.00 per serving. Size and detail determine price.
1 tiered kakes start at $100 – (10 – 20 servings)
2 tiered kakes start at $150 – (20 – 40 servings)
3 tiered kakes start at $250 – (40 – 80 servings)
4 tiered kakes start at $500 – (80 – 140 servings)
*Starting price is a simple design for the minimum number of servings in that category. The price increases as the detail becomes more complex and / or number of servings increase.*
Once you know the theme and # of people it has to feed I can give you a better idea of the price.
You can hold a spot at any time (if I have availability that week) with a $50 deposit.
I can’t guarantee a date will be available unless I have... show more a deposit.
Most of my kakes are iced in Buttercream icing. I get it so super smooth that a lot of people mistake it for fondant! I occasionally cover kakes in fondant when necessary (dark colored kakes or some sculpted kakes). I use the Wilton Party Serving Size chart to determine the serving sizes of my kakes.
We will work together to create the perfect centerpiece for your upcoming event!!
