I cannot for the life of me understand where this company gets it’s good reviews from. Personally Myself and Husband have been to hell and back, I only wish I had run for the hills when I allowed Matt into my home. When moving into our first home we were let down last minute by our flooring supplier, so contacted a few companies and discovered Matt Lankshear. At the time I did find it strange how quickly we could be fitted in, not the best sign for a company who is supposedly doing well. They advised as we have 2 children and a dog for a top quality carpet that’s very hard wearing, the carpet they recommended was a brand called “invictus” carpets. We decided as per their advise to use this carpet throughout the whole house which wasn’t cheap. We were booked in for the day we were due to complete on our brand new first family home, so obviously a very exciting day. When Matt turned up he didn’t even get through the front door before he started making horrible comments about our house. My husband and I just thought he had a vendetta against new builds but then he started getting very personal, interrogating myself as to why I would buy one in the first place and how “shit” the house was. To paint the picture a bit better myself and my husband had worked 7 days a week for 2 years to save our deposit to buy our house. For a day that we had literally counted the days down for months was ruined by a nasty, small minded man. Once Matt had finished we noticed problems already, silly things like the stair carpets were lifting and no threshold strips had been put down on the downstairs doorways as quoted by Matt himself. I let it go as I couldn’t bear to have him coming back into my house. But then all the carpets started getting loose threads in them. Not just a couple but loads. As the weeks went on it was getting worse to the point where the living room carpet was starting to go thread-bear at only 9 months old. As someone who suffers from anxiety I genuinely didn’t want Matt to come back into the house so didn’t report the problems with the carpets. Instead we were just going to bite the bullet and replace the worst affected carpets. I went onto Facebook looking for recommendations for flooring and low and behold Matt’s wife Carlie pops up recommending themselves. I felt I had to tell her then everything that had happened, and pleasantly she seemed only too happy to help. Well the weeks went on and we were told lie after lie about her speaking to various people from her supplier, to a rep, to the manufacturer of the carpets but nothing ever progressed. We were originally told it would be sorted in 2 weeks. We’re now 9 weeks down the line and still nothing has happened. We been treated so badly, lied to, and messed around. We have had no choice but to take the matter further to try and get our hard earned money back from these scammers. I hope to god this review is enough to stop anyone else loosing their money to this fraudulent pair. If anyone needs proof of how we’ve been treated, as I know I’m probably going to get people questioning me, I’m happy to personally send pictures of the state of the flooring, and screenshots of all the correspondence we have had from ASA flooring.
