  I lived in SD for 3 yrs (left last Nov) and never found a store that carried them. In the L.A. area however you should be able to find Brookhurst hobbies. They have a good selection, at least the last time I was there. I think their website is www.brookhursthobbies.com Paul

  www.brookhursthobbies.com, they carry SHQ (lead), MMS (white metal), and Battle Ready(?) resin 20 mm stuff. This is the distributor that my shop goes through. I highly recommend the MMS line, very high detail white metal kits but a bit pricey though. But I have a M8 and the kit is extremely nice. Just follow the links on the left side of the page - models, then armor and afv, then MMS. Hope this helps.
