  can anyone help? We just bought a double-wide built in 2001. There is a fireplace in the master bedroom and we do not know if it takes natural gas and needs to be converted to LP or if it has already been done. The fireplace has never been used and there are no lines or tanks on the property to give us any clues. We called one gas company & I feel like he was just trying to get us to buy a new system/insert. Does anyone have a sure fire way to tell which type of gas it takes? I looked up the model # and it no longer exists and I have tried to contact the company FMI Products (under the Coleman label) with no luck. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  I recommend The fire & Water co. They are very knowledgable and family oriented company. They they specialize in gas equipment/units. The good thing about them is they fix any issues with electrical and plumbing as well. Good luck with your log set.
