Well, about January..she started having difficulty starting...drove her over to advance auto, they ran some test and everything came back normal. Well, 2 days later she no longer would start...my younger brother is somewhat comfortable with cars so he recommended changing out the ignition switch. So, I ordered it...after or while he was changing it and hooking up a code reader, the lights, inside and out, the locks..everything starting going bonkers...then everything shut off and I believe the dash said something like theft mode engaged. Now it's been sitting since because I have no clue how to get the car fixed and not that much money to invest in doing so. Anyone have any ideas where to go..who to contact or what to do? It turns out that the car is NOT road ready (as he said) and needs A LOT of work. It has Corvette engine I am told, but it seems it is missing a lot of wiring among other things. So, I need some help. Can anyone recommend an honest mechanic to give us an estimate on what this thing needs and how much to get it on the road? Engine sounds like a beast, and it has some racing gear shifter thing in it that I have never seen before. It may be a cool car once it is ready, but we don’t know if we can afford to go the distance with that. May have to sell it as is and hope to get some money back.
