I've been dealing with Peroenal Tendonitis since June. I haven't ran since August. I tried cycling and Aqua running and that even bothered it. I finally started seeing a podiatrist and wore and Aircast for 8 weeks and was doing ROM and ankle strengthening exercises . It helped some then I started walking and even a 20 min walk brought discomfort. Finally I got an Mri the results were...
RIGHT ANKLE MRI CONCLUSION:
1. Longitudinal splitting tear in the peroneus brevis. Internal tearing
in the peroneus longus.
2. Chronic-appearing disruption of the anterior talofibular ligament.
3. Chondral thinning and subcortical cyst formation in the medial talar
dome.
I'm thinking not good. Does anyone recommend a Othropedic and/or PT that works with runners?
