Looking for recommendations for a Caterer to cater a small family event (25 people) I am looking for recommendations on a good quality caterer to cater a small family holiday event at a home. What are some things to look for or to avoid? Do they normally just setup the food and leave? The last event I had catered was my wedding and it was in a hall and you could only use the caterer they used.
*edit* Looking for catering of a Christmas meal - turkey, stuffing, etc etc
Thanks in advance.

I've had A Capella catering for more than a few community group events and no complaints. My employer also uses them regularly. I think (for my group events) it was around $15-20/head for a decent hot dinner meal and $10-15 for a lunch meal. Prices vary based on menu selection. They came, setup the heaters and put the food out. They supplied everything like plates and utensils too. http://www.acappella.ab.ca/
Affordable wedding catering/recommendations I apologize if this has already been asked recently - I tried searching the subreddit, but only found results from > a year ago. My fiance and I have been trying to plan a small scale, affordable wedding for next year as we're on a bit of a tight budget. We found a local community hall for a reasonable price with a kitchen and have debated on just doing potluck style food, but we're concerned about appearing too cheap to spring for food/out of town guests who won't be able to prepare something. Are there any companies in the city that are affordable for a small scale reception (>50 people)? What are your experiences with wedding caterers in the city?
Also, if anyone has any tips or recommendations for such a small celebration, that would very appreciated. This is going to be a super casual event, no gifts/expectations from guests; I don't even have a wedding party. I'm a bit lost on ideas and planning has become a little overwhelming haha.

Having worked there, I know that A Cappella Catering will do any number of people. They even have the option to just do a food drop off if you don't want to pay for staff. I'm not sure what the price points are though. http://www.acappella.ab.ca/
