FAQs: Q: Who is Cheaper Than Dirt? A: We are an online and catalog retailer.
Q: Do you have a retail store? A: No, we do not have any retail locations. We do, however, have a huge selection of products at http://www.cheaperthandirt.com
Q:Why is your shipping so high? A: We don’t pad our item prices to cover the shipping cost. It is not cost effective to order small inexpensive items by themselves. We are very competitive on larger orders. Each of the warehouses are independent, and set their own prices. That’s why we cannot combine shipping between warehouses.
Q: Will you ever make shipping free if you spend X amount of dollars? A: No. We do not pad our item prices to cover the shipping charges. One way or another, you pay the shipping charges.
Q: Why do I have to pay a different shipping rate at each warehouse? A: Each of the warehouses are independent, and set their own prices. That’s why we cannot combine shipping between warehouses. A great way to cut down on shipping costs is to purchase your items from a single warehouse.
Q: Why can’t I have my order shipped in a flat rate box from the USPS? A: With as many orders as we process a day, we choose not to use USPS directly. Some items can be shipped through our Federal Express SmartPost. From a customer service standpoint, we need more than USPS can provide.
Q: Does my FFL need to send in copies of his license when I purchase a gun online? A: Either you or the FFL Dealer must send us a copy of the Federal Firearms License (along with Cheaper Than Dirt's issued order number). We will confirm the license... show more
and make the FFL Dealer aware that a fulfillment order from Cheaper Than Dirt! will soon be arriving for you. Most orders are shipped the same day we receive the FFL license and FFL Dealer information (with the order number). Your firearm will arrive at the FFL Dealer in a few days, but the FFL Dealer will need to process the shipment. It may be an additional day or so before the FFL Dealer is ready to conduct the transfer of the firearm to you. Call the FFL Dealer and set an appointment to confirm that the firearm is ready to be transferred. show more
